Pixies are the fun-loving, mischief-makers
of the fairy realm. They can stand as small as a human
thumb or as tall as a human toddler, and any heighth inbetween.
Pxies prefer to live in the countryside and
are often responsible for the spilled pail of milk and the
strange commotion in the hen house during the wee hours of the
night. They are known to be quite fond of critters and think
snails make wonderful pets!

Kyndal Wishley thinks her job is
a joy,
Matching just the right toy with each girl and boy.
Perhaps a floating train that doesn’t mess up the floor,
Or a puzzle a child can walk through like a door?
Whatever it is a child wants most with his heart,
Kyndal designs a toy to match with her magical art.
Here's Rosemary's version.

working with fabrics and threads and can’t wait to start playing with
the finest , silkiest, softest, most exquisite fabrics in all the land,

Oh dear! It's time to dress
for the party at the Haunted Apple Pailion and Autumn just can't decide
which outfit to wear! The oak leaf oufit she's wearing is cute and
sassy, but the colors are so drab. The maple leaf costume is colorful,
but so hard to sit in. Hmm, maybe the witch outfit or the princess
outfit would be better choices?

Trixie Doodlehopper
Trixie loves her job working at the Deep Dish Café
where the staff gets to wear period costumes as their uniforms.
Trixie’s favorite “uniform” is her poodle skirt from the fifties.
Although the saddle shoes are a bit uncomfortable for a pixie (bare
feet are more to their liking), Trixie knows they are a “must” for the
outfit.

Dr. Brightfeather has been called out to the examining

The pixies who dwell in the
Pixie Pavilions
created by Margo Rose are of the thumb-size
varitey. Larger pixies, while too big to live in such
wee houses, have been seen playing with the pavilions and decorating
them much like human children playing with dollhouses.
the small pixies who dwell in Rosemary Small's Magic
Shoppe
the big pixies who play with Rosemary's Magic Shoppe
Big pixies can be placed in the background
behind the houses where they will appear to be larger in scale.
I'd probably use 15" or 16" background blocks (instead
of 14") if I chose to make the big pixies. This would give
me more room to play with the pixies. When finished, I'd need
to adjust the border design to fit. However, since I live
in a tiny apartment and probably couldn't even lift a quilt that
had all of Margo's houses in it, I lean more toward using our designs
to make smaller items like wall quilts, pillows and tote bags. For
this design, I'd start with a 20" background so I'd have more room
to put some distance bewtween Maurice, who's looking for the rabbits,
and Monique who has already found the rabbits. This would make
a delightful wall quilt for child's room, especially if it was liberally
sprinkled with pixie dust!
In this photo, Rosemary placed everything
on a 16" background block. The extra room is just enough
to position the big size pixies a few inches below the house,
making it look like the pixies are in the foreground and the Magic
Shoppe is in the background. With this placement, the big size
pixies do look as if they could live in the wee house behind them.
(Lol, looking at the snowy roof, I'm thinking
Monique needs to run inside and grab her coat! Perhaps
Maurice will lend her his cape.)
